a.RTISTS IN TRANSIT- How to become an artist in residence

„Trees have roots, people don`t have roots, they have legs`, which means that we must constantly be moving and there isn`t any need to be rooted. “
S. 53, Nikhil Chopra

Eine nette Lektüre…

„And the performances are also like collections of ideas that one has created in a new place, so the travel and the constant moving is very inspiring.“S.54, N.Chopra

die ich unterwegs gelesen habe…

„When the surrealist André Breton asked his colleague Alberto Giacometti what his studio was, Giacometti answered:“two walking feet.““ S.75, Paolo Bianchi

…und die eine Auswahl unterschiedlicher Interviews enthält…

„Walking, in particular drifting, or strolling, is already – within the speed culture of our time- a kind of resistance, But it also opens to be a  very immediate method for unfolding stories. It`s an easy act to perform.“ S.75, P.Bianchi

…von Menschen, die bereits unterwegs sind oder waren ….

„The arrival creates contacts and relationships; affiliations and boundaries are formed.“ S.75,P.Bianchi

… und ihre Erlebnisse weitergeben…

„Viewed in this light, art and travel are similar to other intellectual and spiritual experinces.“S76.,P. Bianchi

„On the other side contemporary art, as I see it, is an interesting field of research, reflection, communication, exchange and cristicism within contemporary society.“ S.82, T. Ostojic

„I was continously learning trough the complex process of this project and, on that basis, making further decisions for the next step of the project.“ S.87,T. Ostojic

Über die Besonderheit der Kunsthalle in Berlin Weissensee:

„…a place that intends to build brigdes: connections between the teachings of a university and the reality of free artistic practice and the interdisciplinary collaborations between art, design, and schience with integration of the local environment as well as national and international participation.“ S.102

Anna Lipphardt, S.111/112: „You have to be mobile, if you want to be seen!“

„..artists nowadays may indeed enjoy the most privileged form of mobility, but for many this also means to live permanently on the edge, financially, socially and emotionally.“ S.121, Anna Lipphardt
